Severe storms leave their mark, nice days to follow

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – The rest of our weekend is looking spectacular, but that was after a round of intense storms passed through Saturday afternoon. There were reports of tornadoes, hail, damaging winds, and heavy rain… all modes of severe weather. However, as forecasted by the WGNO weather team, the location of these reports were skewed greatly towards the north shore and into Mississippi and Alabama. The severe line of thunderstorms continues to progress to the eastern U.S. into the night. We clear out swiftly, almost immediately behind storms in SE LA. Most of our viewing area saw sunshine after storms, just before the sunset.
