Boise & Twin Falls Weather: High Winds, Rain Expected Monday – Spring Officially Arrives Thursday

Boise, ID – Strong winds and rain are expected across southern Idaho on Monday, making for a blustery St. Patrick’s Day. A wind advisory is in effect for Boise, Twin Falls, and Upper Treasure Valley from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, with gusts up to 55 mph.

According to the National Weather Service, southwest winds will reach 25-40 mph, strongest near Interstate 84 in the Snake Plain. These gusty conditions could blow down tree limbs, cause power outages, and make driving hazardous for high-profile vehicles. Rain is also expected throughout the day, tapering off by evening.
