Country music star Miranda Lambert celebrated the 20th anniversary of her debut album Kerosene by posting a then-and-now photo set on Instagram. The photos feature Lambert in similar outfits – white t-shirts emblazoned with “Mama Tried” – 20 years apart.
The throwback picture shows a young Lambert in low-slung jeans and turquoise jewelry, while the current photo features the singer in a desert landscape wearing dark jeans and cowboy boots. Lambert also announced the re-release of the original “Mama Tried” shirts on her website.
Fans flooded her Instagram with compliments about her seemingly ageless appearance, with many praising her enduring beauty and thanking her for providing the soundtrack to their lives.
In a recent interview, Lambert reflected on the impact of Kerosene, saying it laid the foundation for her successful music career. She noted how, despite two decades passing, she feels remarkably similar to the young woman who first burst onto the country music scene, retaining the same “fire” and feistiness that defined her early work.
