A man convicted for taking part in the deadly street-racing crash that killed a San Carlos couple in 2022 died in jail over the weekend, officials for the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office said.
Kyle Harrison, 25, was found unresponsive in a housing unit at the Maple Street Correctional Center in Redwood City around 4:50 p.m. on Saturday, sheriff’s officials said. His identity was confirmed by the San Mateo County Coroner’s Office, which did not immediately release the cause of death.
Harrison was sentenced to eight years in prison last month after pleading no contest to two counts of felony vehicular manslaughter and one count of felony street racing that resulted in death or great bodily injury.
