A former Mount Airy doctor, already jailed in Virginia, was recently sentenced to an additional term in prison and ordered to pay more than $2 million in restitution after having pleaded guilty to one count of health care fraud and one count of money laundering
Wendell Lewis Randall, 72, was sentenced to a 30-month prison sentence plus an additional two years of supervised released by U.S. District Court Judge Catherine C. Eagles and was ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $2,049,747.47.
His new prison term is in addition to an 18-month prison sentence which he is currently serving for a conviction in the Western District of Virginia that also included $205,000 in fines and forfeiture…
