DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Drivers who travel around the Indiana-Ohio state line may see additional construction in the future.
Revive I-70, a project by the Indiana Department of Transportation to reduce congestion and improve traffic flow, appears to be focusing on the following interchanges:
- I-70 and U.S. 35
- I-70 at U.S. 40
According to Revive I-70, the two interchanges could be transformed to diamond interchanges with roundabouts, which are said to be the recommended alternative to the current ones. The roundabouts appear in the graphics to be on the U.S. 35 and U.S. 40, not I-70.
On U.S. 35, the loop ramps with the existing bridges of the loops would be removed with the proposed design.
On U.S. 40, new retaining walls and sidewalks could be added with the project…
