LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – The Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department issued a public health advisory on Monday following the release of untreated wastewater into surface waters near N. 20th Street and N. Gate Road. This water flows into Salt Creek near N. 27th and Fairfield streets.
The release occurred between Sunday and Monday. Upon notification, immediate actions were taken to stop the release and address the affected areas. However, LLCHD urges residents to use caution and avoid direct contact with the surface waters near the release site and Salt Creek.
Children and pets should also be kept away from the affected waters to prevent exposure to potential contaminants…
