Wildfire prompts mandatory evacuations near popular Colorado reservoir

Mandatory evacuations are underway near the popular Dry Creek Reservoir, located just west of Berthoud in Larimer County, due to a newly sparked wildfire.

According to the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office, the mandatory evacuations have been ordered for the 5300 block of West County Road 8E. As depicted on Northern Colorado Alert mapping , these mandatory evacuations stretch north from Dry Creek Reservoir past West County Road 12 and west toward land just outside of Carter Lake Reservoir.
