Neighbor helps thwart abduction of teen, Round Rock police say

A driver tried to kidnap a teenage girl while she was walking a dog in Round Rock, but the man was thwarted by a neighbor, according to an arrest affidavit released this week.

Joel Maske, 30, of Round Rock, is charged with attempted aggravated kidnapping with bodily injury and indecency with a child by sexual contact. Both charges are second-degree felonies punishable by up to 20 years in prison.
