Former nurse charged with DUII after allegedly leaving work drunk

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – A former nurse at PeaceHealth RiverBend hospital is facing criminal charges after allegedly leaving work visibly intoxicated in February.

According to court records, Jesse Flannery, 39, was reported to Springfield Police Department officers by hospital security just after midnight on February 22 after a guard noticed a visibly intoxicated Flannery leaving the hospital. An affidavit written by an SPD officer said the responding officer responded to Flannery’s house in the Thurston area and spoke to him in his car as he arrived home. Flannery allegedly admitted to having one drink; however, court documents claim his blood alcohol level was more than three times the legal limit.

Court records show Flannery, who is a registered nurse according to his state license, had a suspended drivers license from a misdemeanor conviction for driving under the influence of intoxicants. Court records show this was Flannery’s third arrest for DUII in one year. He was arraigned on March 17 on charges of felony DUII and misdemeanor driving with a suspended license…
