Memphis Police Investigate Multiple Theft Incidents at Family Dollar and Target Stores

A series of shoplifting and theft incidents have occurred at various Family Dollar locations and a Target store in Memphis, Tennessee, prompting police investigations. According to a social media post by the Memphis Police Department, the first reported theft took place last Wednesday, at the Family Dollar on North Cleveland Street where a male suspect feigned a purchase before stealing money from the cash register.

The authorities have linked this same individual to a previous theft at a Dollar Tree on Lamar Avenue and described him as a Black male with visible tattoos on his neck, the investigation is ongoing with no arrests made at this time. In a separate incident last Saturday, two males, one described as having a medium complexion, short dreadlocks, and wearing a gray hoodie, with a scar on his left eyebrow, they approached the Family Dollar on Winchester Road asking about dog food and later one of the suspects assaulted the clerk and dragged him outside after the clerk photographed the suspect allegedly concealing merchandise…
