Winter Storm Forecast Fizzles Out

(KNSI) – A potential Wednesday winter storm is now tracking well to the south.

The early Tuesday morning update from the National Weather Service Twin Cities office had already moved Benton, Sherburne, and Stearns County out of a possible winter weather advisory. Precipitation was downgraded to under an inch of snow.

An afternoon forecast refresh is even better as now Minneapolis and St. Paul will see the storm miss them. The track still runs from southwest to northeast with a blizzard warning in place from the Iowa border through Albert Lea and Rochester. The advisory now affects Mankato and Red Wing. The NWS still says the drop-off in snowfall on the northern edge of the system will be almost immediate…
