HONOLULU (Island News) — A weakening storm system is located to the west-northwest of the islands, and heavy showers have subsided. As a result, the Flood Watch for Niihau, Kauai, and Oahu has been canceled.
The weather pattern is shifting, with a high-pressure system moving eastward across the Pacific. As this system passes just north of the islands, it will bring more stable trade winds today, lasting through Saturday.
These winds will be moderate to breezy, with temperatures staying relatively stable. Most islands will experience brief showers, mainly in the overnight and early morning hours, especially in windward and mountain areas.
One exception is a weak weather feature forming east of the Big Island and East Maui. From Wednesday night through Friday morning, this feature may bring heavier showers to windward areas on both islands…
