Brush fire sparked by vehicle in northeast Austin

AUSTIN, Texas — Austin firefighters have extinguished a brush fire that originated from a vehicle in northeast Austin Tuesday afternoon.

The Austin Fire Department reported that the blaze started shortly after 2 p.m. in the 1300 block of East Rundberg Lane and spread to nearby vegetation. That is near Gustavo “Gus” L. Garcia District Park.
