ATLANTA — A Lithonia man has been sentenced to 15 years, with eight years in confinement, after pleading guilty to charges of illegally recording women without their knowledge, DeKalb County District Attorney Sherry Boston announced Wednesday.
Jesse William Kirk, 50, pleaded guilty to two counts of using or installing a device to observe or record underneath or through an individual’s clothing and one count of peeping Tom in DeKalb County Superior Court. The charges stem from incidents at a Brookhaven Costco in 2019 and an apartment complex in 2023.
According to investigators, Brookhaven police responded to a report of suspicious activity at the Costco on Brookhaven Avenue on July 23, 2019. A store employee told police that a man had been seen taking upskirt photos of a female customer. Surveillance footage confirmed Kirk had used his phone to capture images up the woman’s skirt while she was shopping.
