Some Floridians are keeping an eye out for their local Winn-Dixie to see if it is going to convert to an Aldi. After all, in 2023, Southeastern Grocers, Winn-Dixie’s parent company, sold around 400 Winn-Dixie stores. However, in a bit of a turnaround, Southeastern Grocers bought back around 170 of the purchased Winn-Dixie stores earlier this year. So some Floridians may be getting a reprieve and others won’t, since conversions already in motion will still convert. Some in the Jacksonville area may be interested in knowing that a permit for a new Jacksonville Aldi converted from a Winn-Dixie is under review. And it would be a $1.057 million project.…
