Couple sentenced in Florida for countrywide mail order drug trafficking ring

FORT PIERCE, Fla. (CBS12) — A federal district judge in Fort Pierce sentenced a California couple for their involvement in a mail order drug trafficking operation.

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) said Vanessa Vanly Kaiser, 50, received a six-year prison sentence, while her husband, Ronald Robert Kaiser, 61, was sentenced to nearly four years. Both pled guilty to conspiring to distribute controlled substances, including methamphetamine, on December 19, 2024.

According to court records, residents from Sacramento, California collaborated with a foreign drug trafficking organization to distribute methamphetamine, opioids, and other controlled drugs through an online pharmacy. For about six months in 2023, customers across the country would buy narcotics without prescriptions from this online platform…
