Support pours in for SLMPD officer injured in the line of duty

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – Support is pouring in on Thursday for SLMPD Officer Nathan Spiess.

A driver hit Officer Speiss Monday while he tried to catch a carjacking suspect. Officer Spiess’ leg had to be partially amputated after being hit on the interstate near Shreve. Police said he has undergone two surgeries since the incident.

It’s the second time the officer has been seriously injured in the line of duty…
