JSX, the air carrier known for public charter flights, is set to expand its presence at John Wayne Airport (JWA) in Orange County, California. The Orange County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved JSX’s relocation across the airfield, allowing the carrier to move from ACI Jet’s leasehold on the east side to Jay’s Aircraft Maintenance leasehold on the west side. Flight operations from the new location at 3000 Airway Avenue are expected to begin around March 25.
The move was driven by JWA’s Taxiway A, D, and E Reconstruction Project, slated to start this spring. Despite the shift, JSX will maintain uninterrupted service while also increasing its annual customer allocation, providing even more West Coast and beyond travel options, according to a press release. The relocation reinforces JSX’s commitment to low-noise travel, as the carrier operates Embraer 135/145 aircraft—the quietest passenger jets at JWA.…
