SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Authorities pursued a suspected DUI driver in Chula Vista Friday morning, ending the chase in Hillcrest.
According to the Chula Vista Police Department, a call came in at 6:22 a.m. with a witness stating that they saw a driver run a red light at East H Street and Paseo Del Rey. The caller said that the driver had hit their vehicle during the incident and then left the scene.
Another hit-and-run was reportedly shortly thereafter on westbound East H Street, police said. This victim was able to get a plate number and vehicle description, which they relayed to authorities.
