SLCPD seizes 8,000 fentanyl pills, arrests 2 in undercover operation at Cottonwood Park

SALT LAKE CITY ( ABC4 ) — Salt Lake City Police, in coordination with state and federal authorities, seized more than 8,000 fentanyl pills and arrested two people in an undercover operation on Tuesday.

At around 9:30 p.m. on March 18, police conducted a traffic stop at Bridgton Dr. and South Molly Dr. in Magna, Utah. During the stop, a police K-9 indicated the presence of illegal drugs in the car.

Police obtained a warrant in the investigation, and executed the warrant near 6500 West 3900 South in West Valley City. During the search, law enforcement seized 8,200 suspected fentanyl pills, suspected cocaine, suspected marijuana, and over $28,000 in cash.
