As funding runs out, a bill signed by Gov. Tate Reeves gives JXN Water a new lifeline

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – A bill signed by Gov. Tate Reeves this week could give JXN Water a new way to raise operating revenues as its pot of federal flexible funds runs out.

On Thursday, Reeves signed H.B. 1194, a bill that amends state statute to allow for-profit corporations like JXN Water to convert to non-profit authorities for the purpose of applying for state and federal funds.
