BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A man is dead after pickup truck struck him east of Bakersfield Friday morning. The crash happened around 6 a.m., on Weedpatch Highway near Kerrnita Road.
Highway patrol says a 56-year-old man was driving northbound on Weedpatch Highway when a pedestrian crossed the street outside of a crosswalk.
