According to the Chicago Police Department, on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at approximately 4:50 p.m., the body of 16-year-old Kaylah Love was discovered near a playground in Horan Park, located at 3035 West Van Buren Street. Less than 10 hours later, the Chicago Police reported that on Monday, March 17, at 2:10 a.m., 13-year-old Amari Williams was found dead in the backyard of an apartment building in the 1500 block of South Kildare Avenue.
