Colorado – In a tragic incident in Colorado, an elderly woman with dementia was fatally attacked by several dogs after being left alone at home by her daughter. The 47-year-old daughter, identified as Jessica H., has been arrested and faces multiple charges, including criminal negligence resulting in the death of an at-risk adult and 54 counts of aggravated cruelty to animals.
On February 3, Sheriff’s deputies responded to a distressing call at a residence, where they discovered 76-year-old LaVonne H. deceased. The preliminary investigation revealed that LaVonne, who suffered from dementia and required 24-hour care, was attacked by multiple dogs within her own home. This horrific event occurred while her daughter, Jessica, who was responsible for her care, had left her unattended to run errands.
An autopsy later confirmed that the cause of death was due to injuries sustained during the dog attack.
