DALLAS — There was a rare sighting of a Southwest plane on a DFW Airport runway Monday evening because of a possible brake issue, the airline confirmed.
Flight data shows Southwest Flight 2547 departed from Columbus’ John Glenn International Airport for Love Field around 3:17 p.m. central time. Sometime during the flight, a possible issue was discovered in the Boeing 738’s anti-skid system — a system that prevents wheel lock-up and skidding while braking during landing.
Due to the issue, the flight needed a longer runway, Southwest said. As a result, the flight was diverted to the other airport in town — Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, Southwest confirmed. Flight data showed Flight 2547 landed at DFW around 6 p.m…
