Woman pleads not guilty to murder charges in suspected DUI crash that killed couple

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Charges have been filed for the woman accused of driving under the influence in a crash that left two people dead on Stockdale Highway over the St. Patrick’s Day weekend.

The driver, Anabell Aleyna Correa, is facing a total of 10 charges. She faces:

  • 2 counts of second-degree murder
  • 2 counts of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated
  • 2 counts of driving under the influence of alcohol causing bodily injury
  • 2 counts of DUI of 0.08 alcohol with bodily injury
  • 1 count of driving without a license
  • 1 count of “red or stop, vehicle stop at limit line or cross walk”
