Man dies in three-vehicle collision on Wilson Road

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A man died in a collision involving three vehicles on March 19 when a car rear-ended his vehicle, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.

Officers responded to a report of a collision in the area of Wilson Road and Hughes Lane at 7:23 a.m. on March 19, Bakersfield Police Sgt. Eric Celedon said. They found a collision involving three vehicles at the scene.

According to Celedon, the preliminary investigation suggested a vehicle approaching the intersection rear-ended a vehicle, which caused that vehicle to also rear-end another car in front of it.

The driver of the vehicle in the middle was taken to a local hospital for medical treatment, but was pronounced deceased at 6:48 p.m. on March 22, according to the Kern County Coroner’s Office. All other drivers remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, Celedon said…
