FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A woman’s blood-alcohol content was allegedly over three times the legal limit when she crashed Monday night with three kids in the back seat, according to newly released court documents.
Shawnte Griffith, 28, is accused of crashing into a parked car in a south Fort Wayne neighborhood before veering off the road and hitting a tree shortly before 11:30 p.m., according to Allen Superior Court documents filed Tuesday.
Three children ages 5, 3 and 2 were in the car with her. The 5-year-old and 3-year-old had seat belts on but were not in booster seats, while the 2-year-old was in a car seat that was not properly secured, police said.
