Man arrested after soccer game turns violent in Miami, police say

MIAMI – A 23-year-old man was behind bars Tuesday after he was accused of getting violent with a minor during a tense game on a soccer field under the shade of Interstate 95 in Miami.

Police officers arrested Juan Gonzalez shortly after midnight at the Stadio Soccer, which remains open until 3 a.m., at 571 NW 73 St., in the Little River neighborhood.

According to the police arrest report, witnesses told Miami officers that Gonzalez “punched a minor in the face” after he had been “aggressive” and taunted opponents…
