Former Alabama parole employee accused of promoting prison contraband pleads guilty to 3 charges

A former Alabama Bureau of Pardons and Paroles employee pleaded guilty to three counts of use of office for personal gain on Thursday, according to court documents.

Jennifer Howze was accused of promoting contraband at Limestone Correctional Facility back in 2023. She was arrested in November of that year.

The recent plea agreement states Howze was sentenced to five years in prison, with each count to be served concurrently. The sentence will be split with time served…
