SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A man was fatally shot by San Diego police during a SWAT standoff in a neighborhood near Scripps Ranch Tuesday.
Around 12:09 p.m., authorities received a report of a male pointing a handgun at construction workers in the 11600 block of Angelique Street, Lt. Patrick Fox with the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release
SkyFOX/KUSI in the Sky was overhead shortly after. From overhead, a man, now identified as a 59-year-old, could be seen on the sidewalk of the cul-de-sac holding what appeared to be some sort of firearm. The man then appeared to fall to the ground, across from where officers had been staging.
