‘Latest Victim’ of DOGE Cuts: Arizona Cancer Research

There’s an exciting new technology to fight cancer, and it’s in the works right here in Arizona. However, with DOGE cuts and financial instability taking the focus, it’s hard to know if this will come to fruition.

Project CAMI

The University of Arizona Health Sciences Center for Advanced Molecular and Immunological Therapies (CAMI) plans to build a research facility in Phoenix.

Project CAMI is an ambitious project that will work to advance biomedical research. The project will focus on the fields of immunology and molecular therapies.

Plans are being made to build a Project Cami at the Phoenix Bioscience Core (PBC). The planned facility will be a seven-story, 200,000-square-foot building to be located at East Fillmore Street and 7th Street in the heart of downtown Phoenix.

If everything goes as planned, they’ll be able to house up to 40 research groups, making it a hub for cutting-edge research and innovation…
