A week before astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams returned to Earth after being aboard on the International Space Station for nine months, a Sherwood sixth grader got the chance to do something most space aficionados only dream of — ask another astronaut aboard the ISS a question while he was in orbit.
On Monday, March 17, Colston Porter, a student at the virtual Oregon Charter Academy, was one of 20 students from the school who submitted prerecorded questions , all answered live while Oregon astronaut Donald Pettit traveled in low orbit.
