High Point woman faces multiple felony charges after police say she shot into Greensboro home

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A 20-year-old High Point woman was arrested Tuesday after police say she fired into an occupied home in Greensboro on January 31,

According to arrest records, Demaia Natiae Lesai Short was taken into custody Tuesday and charged with the following:

  • Felony assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill
  • Felony discharging a weapon into occupied property
  • Misdemeanor assault of a disabled person
  • Misdemeanor discharging a firearm in city limits

Her arrest warrant says Short “unlawfully, willfully, and feloniously” fired a handgun into a residence on Rosetta Road in Greensboro with the intent to kill the occupant of the home on January 31…
