HOPEWELL – The first of three defendants in the 2022 shooting death of a little girl here pleaded guilty to murder and weapons charges Wednesday morning.
Brandon James Warner, 18, of Hurleyville, New York, faced the possibility of life imprisonment on the first-degree murder charge in the death of eight-year-old P’Aris Mi-Unique Angel Moore. The details of the plea agreement were not spelled out in court, and prosecutor Jessica Bailey was hesitant to share them with The Progress-Index because Warner was a juvenile at the time of the murder.
She did say in court, though, that the agreement covered the first-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony charges. Two other counts against him – conspiracy to commit murder and shooting a weapon from a car – were not prosecuted…
