SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A man pronounced dead after he tried to run across highway lanes and was hit by five cars Monday night in Sacramento has been identified.
Shane Brent Waller, 34, died around 10:50 p.m. along Business 80, according to the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office. He ran across southbound lanes just north of X Street when he was hit by an unknown vehicle, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) said.
