Beaufort County inmates moved to Charleston County Detention Center amid plumbing problems

CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Inmates from the Beaufort County Detention Center are being temporarily housed in Charleston County due to plumbing issues at their home facility.

The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office said 53 inmates were brought from the Beaufort County jail to the Sheriff Al Cannon Detention Center on Tuesday.
