COMMERCE, TX — A multi-agency investigation has led to the arrest of a 73-year-old Commerce woman after law enforcement officers discovered a significant amount of illegal narcotics at her home.
According to the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office, with support from the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office and Commerce Police Department, an investigation began in February 2025 into Mary Dean , suspected of distributing methamphetamine from her residence on Washington Street.
Investigators uncovered that Dean has an extensive criminal record for drug-related crimes dating back to 2002. In 2006, she was convicted and sentenced to 75 years in prison for narcotics distribution. However, she was released after just seven years and remains on parole until the year 2081…
