HONOLULU (KHON2) — At around 12:24 a.m. on Wednesday, HFD received a 911 call reporting a blaze in Kaimuki.
Man in critical condition following apparent stabbing
Upon arrival, the first unit found heavy smoke pouring from the second floor of a small two-story residential building. Firefighters immediately began working to contain the flames and protect nearby structures.
During a search of the building, a 79-year-old man was found unresponsive on the second floor. HFD quickly extricated him and transferred him to Emergency Medical Services (EMS) at 12:44 a.m. for treatment.
