FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A 15-year-old from Fresno who had his bicycle stolen when he stopped to help an unconscious person was given a new bike after firefighters rallied around to help him out.
On Wednesday, firefighters from Fresno Fire Station 5 responded to a call about a person unconscious on the sidewalk at Fresno Street and Clinton Avenue. Crews arrived to find the 15-year-old was already there and was helping the unconscious person.
The teenager from Gaston Middle School had put down his bicycle to help the unconscious person, but after the scene had cleared he discovered that his bicycle had been stolen.
In response, Fresno Fire crews got together, and with help from Rubber Soul Bicycles and chaplaincy groups from Fresno Police and Fresno Fire, they were able to get the 15-year-old a new bicycle.
“The look of gratitude on his face was priceless, and it was a beautiful reminder of how a little kindness can go a long way,” wrote Fresno Fire on social media…
