Rent for 1-bedroom apartment in Fresno jumps compared to 2024, study shows

FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – Renting a single-bedroom apartment in Fresno is even more expensive than it was last year, a new study shows.

According to rental-listing company Zumper, rent for a single-bedroom apartment jumped by 10.0% when comparing March 2025 prices against March 2024 numbers. However, month-by-month comparisons show a decrease of 1.4% from February into March, sitting at an average of $1,430 per month.

In Zumper’s data table , Fresno ranks in the top 40 most expensive rental markets in the nation this month – more expensive than Boise, Baltimore, and Reno.
