CRANSTON – Video evidence has shed light on the disappearance of an autistic woman who was reported missing last week and found four days later in the back of an SUV parked on Pond Street, the city’s police chief announced Wednesday night.
Surveillance footage recorded on March 19 at about 2:42 p.m. showed the missing woman, Linda DaLomba, walking alone down Pond Street and entering the parked vehicle, where she remained until being discovered on Sunday afternoon, according to a news release from Col. Michael Winquist.
Her caretaker, Roberta Gerard, admitted leaving DaLomba unattended in the back seat of her car while she visited a nail salon about 475 feet from where DaLomba was later discovered, Winquist said.
