WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Two men in Wilmington were arrested following an alleged robbery and assault at a local hotel on Thursday.
According to the Wilmington Police Department, units responded to a business robbery in the 200 block of Eastwood Road Thursday morning just before 6 a.m.
They say that two male suspects had entered the back door of the Suburban Studios Extended Stay, stolen and cracked the safe, taken money, and proceeded to rob and assault the clerk with a blunt, sharp object.
