Gunman checked to see if shooting victim was ‘good’ before shooting him again, charges say

WEST VALLEY CITY — A West Valley man is facing several felony charges accusing him of shooting two men outside a party — including shooting one man 14 times after allegedly checking to see if he was OK.

Osue Valentin-Alarcon, 24, was charged Wednesday in 3rd District Court with two counts of shooting at a person and causing serious injury, a first-degree felony, and possession of a gun by a restricted person, a second-degree felony.

West Valley police were called to the area of 3000 South and 5900 West on March 23 on a report of a shooting. Officers arrived and found two men “were bleeding from multiple gunshot wounds and were treated on scene then transported to the hospital,” according to charging documents…
