PITTSBURGH — The grandparents of 1-year-old Iris Alfera are sharing their story after the little girl died of acetone poisoning in June of 2023. Police finally arrested her father’s girlfriend in January 2024.
The grandparents tell a gut-wrenching story of not only wanting justice for Iris, but ultimately wanting to change the laws of the state so that no other family has to go through the pain they felt.
