A controversial event on Saturday that was supposed to feature Sen. Dave McCormick and Sen. John Fetterman and their wives talking about the power of mentorship, has been canceled at the last minute due to an “unforeseen logistical issue,” according to an email sent out to people who purchased tickets.
The event had already changed its original location from the City Winery in the Strip District neighborhood of Pittsburgh to an unspecified location downtown after reports that the event would draw large numbers of protesters. The revised event description said attendees would receive information about the specific location of the event 24 hours ahead of time. But on Friday, instead of a being informed of a new location, attendees received notice of the cancellation.
The email says the event will be rescheduled and people who bought tickets will be given a full refund. “We regret any inconvenience for those planning to attend,” the email reads…
