SHELBY COUNTY, Tenn. (WZTV) — The Tennessee Department of Health confirmed Thursday that a second case of measles has been reported in the state.
This second confirmed case was reported out of Shelby County. The individual is currently recovering at home while public health officials are working to identify any other people who may have come into contact with them.
According to the Shelby County Health Department (SCHD), emergency plans are in effect and they will be contacting any individuals who may have been exposed to the measles case. SCHD believes the risk to the general public is considered low at this time…
