Settlement with generic drug manufacturers leads to compensation for some Ohioans

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A nearly $50 million settlement could repay customers who were overcharged for more than 200 different drugs, Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost announced Wednesday.

Consumers who purchased certain generic prescription drugs between May 2009 and December 2019 are eligible for compensation.

The settlement, consisting of a $10 million payment from Heritage Pharmaceuticals in New Jersey, and a $39.1 million payment from Apotex in Toronto, was filed Dec. 15, 2016, in the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut…
