AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Officials with the Maverick Boys and Girls Club of Amarillo announced that it will be hosting a “Whispers of the Pillowcase Literacy Contest” on March 31.
According to the Maverick Boys and Girls Club of Amarillo, the contest is a creative writing challenge where kids ages 5 to 18 create stories inspired by handmade pillowcases. This contest is designed to spark kids’ imagination while also promoting public speaking among the youth.
